The Atlantik Wall In Normandy

Azeville Fire Control  Post

Azeville battery was a blind battery having no view of the sea. The Fire control Post was built some considerable distance in front of the battery, and comprised a type 120, which should not have a Tobruk attached

This type of FCP could not house a Telemeter, so an old French captured one was placed under a tarpaulin  in the hedgerow some distance in front of the FCP.

The FCP has been buried for almost thirty years but has recently been excavated. There is more damage to the interior that I would have expected

Alongside the FCP are the remains of three 20mm Flak gun sites

Some years ago I was given a very fine model of this FCP pictures below
