La Semaphore Map 1512 OT
Situated just to the west of the batterie of Longues sur Mer, this position has one curious bunker which may well have been used to house a 88mm anti aircraft gun. The site was originally a French coastguard station and was used by the German's as a PDF on Day for the nearby batterie. On the evening of D-day one of the guns from Longues sur Mer fired on the French cruiser Georges Leyques who finally put the batterie out of action.
